It goes down the throat of the beast, and it begins flailing, as the arrow's sharp tip was cutting around inside it.
The Valkyrie's blade glowed bright blue, as he stuck it deep in the beast's head, and began running along it's body, dragging the sword through it. As he reaches the end, he draws back the blade, landing on the sand, sheathing it as the beast flops along the sand, and dies.
He approaches the elf.
"Nice work, if the arrow hadn't gone down it's throat, it would have kept it's focus on hardening it's skin."
