(NOTE: This is based off a MC custom Map that is part of a series called Kingdom of the sky. I thought it would be fun to see the second one from someone other than the hero's perspective.)

Chapter 1
The World Burns

Our world had once been a wonderful place full of magic. Of great wizards and heros there was no shortage. The King ruled from Valorus Castle, and all was well. The only thing we ever had to deal with was the occasional necromancer or dark wizards, but they were quickly slain by one of the Royal knights, or the Royl Wizard, Desmus.
So when the Deciver came, it wasn't even a fight. It was over in less than a week, our world had burned, our people turned into monsters, or wisps, for the power of the Deciver was so great, he could rip a persons soul from their body, leaving them in the form of a wisp.
But some of us survived, we hid in underground supply tunnels for the most part, but kept moving. For eventually, we knew the Deciver's monsters would find us.
But then... We found Desmus.
He said he was going to the Kingdom of the Sky, where the Silver Legion who fought against the Deciver once ruled. He said that he felt the presence of a great hero there, and he needed to find this hero before the Deciver did. Becasue if the Deciver found him first... Then the Hero would be the one to destroy this world and all others. And no hope would be left.
We waited... We kept moving... and eventually we lost hope. surely Desmus would be back by now? But no... He had etheir left us, or died trying to save us. Etheir way, we were doomed. Our World would Burn, until nothing was left.

That is a lot shorter than it seemed...

Flying Penguins
The world would be a better place if they existed.

(I love the story!!!)

"Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss."

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'.

After twelve years of therapy my psychiatrist said something that brought tears to my eyes. He said, "No hablo ingles."

Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together.

(0_0 The map had an epic ending.)
(Oh, and if you love the story, thank Jeff a.k.a Blame The Controller since I'm just taking his story, but telling it from the veiw of one of the survivers rather than Desmus's.)

(By the way, this is going to be a very short story. :/)

Chapter 2
The Hero's Burden

My name was James. I was a farmer before all this. None of us had any expirience with fighting the Deciver's monsters, he had made sure there were no heros left, and he didn't even care about us. We were nothing but useless pets to him, who he killed once in a while to entertain himself.
But after Desmus left, after he didn't return, we decided to take matters into our own hands, we'd have to find Starlight Temple. The Oracle's home.
We passed through many villages, some had burned, and some of us burned passing through, the Deciver's forces on our world were still strong.
However, other villages, they had not burned. In fact, they were perfectly fine. But the people... The people were not fine, by any means.
Two things happened to a person who encountered the Deciver or one of his soldiers. They were turned into a wisp, a plant that glowed bright green, or they changed. The people of these villages... They had changed.
They had no skin, and their teeth had turned to tusks and fangs. They resembled animals mroe than they did humans, and they carryed their weapons at all times, staring at us as we walked through their village.
They were not violent, but still, we did not rest at these safe havens... The people there... They were a reminder of what would happen if we failed.
We passed through canyons, were fire rained down from the sky on our heads, we went into caves, were arrows came from the darkness, and let our blood flow freely. Even walking in the open in daylight was dangerous, for the seas of flames were our water had once been spawned horrible creatures of it's own.
The sea was alive, and if we got to close to the shore, the magma would simply jump up, and consume us.
But finally, we reached our goal. Starlight temple. More than half of us had died on the way there, and more than half of what was left of us were on their way to dieing. But that was all over, we had found ourselves a home. The Oracle would protect us.
So we walked under the broken arch way, smiles on our faces.
And we found something that devastated us.
The Oracle... She...
She wasn't there.
