I look at the boy from my district, Robert, I'd seen him once when I was sneaking in random baskets to people. He was sleep walking and almost made me jump out of my skin. I keep my head down as he stares at me, my skin feels hot and I almost explode. I didn't like it.
"Can I tell you something?" he asks out of the blue.
I stop myself from jumping in surprise, "Uh sure?"
"Why? Why did you take the place of that other girl, I can tell you didn't know her."
I sigh, "Because, I'm not scared to die. It was my final gift to the town."
He cocked his head, "Gift?"
I inhaled deeply, "I don't want to talk about it. My secrets will stay with me when I die, if I win I'll tell my secret," I pause.
I pull up my head and look him in the eyes "and I have no intention of winning."
"I don't think I caught you name, secret girl." He said will curiosity.
"Call me Zero."
He look at me with confused and before he had time to ask I turn my head to the window.
