| There was once a place called North America. There were so many droughts, disasters, storms, fires, and floods, that brutal wars struck out for what little sustenance remained. The result was Panem, a shining Capitol rigned by 13 districts, which brought peace and prosperity to citizens. Then came the Dark Days, the uprising of the districts against the Capitol. 12 were defeated, the 13th obliterated. The Treaty of Treason gave them new laws to guarentee peace, and as their yearly reminder that the Dark Days must never be repeatesd, it gave them the Hunger Games.
The rules are simple. In punishment for the uprising, each one of the 12 districts must provide one girl and one boy, called tributes, to participate. The 24 tributes are imprisoned in a vast outdoor arena that could holdanything from a burning desert to a frozen wasteland. Over a period of several weeks, the competitors must fight to the death. The last tribute standing wins. Taking kids from their homes in their districts, forcing them to fight eachother till they die, is the way of reminding them how totally they are at the Capitol's mercy. Whatever words they use, the message is clear. "Look how we take your children and sacrafice them and there's nothing you can do. If you lift a finger, we will destroy all of you. Like we did with District 13." To make it even more torturous, they force the citizens to treat the Hunger Games like a festivity. The last tribute standing goes back home, and their district is showered with prizes.
And guess what? You belong to one of these districts... And you were chosen... Good luck, tribute.

Personality: Calm, collected, smart, quiet. No one thinks she's very smart because she so quiet, when doing her work she does nothing above average and always ends up in the very middle. NO one things much of her or against her, she doesn't confined in anyone and no one to her, but she's more caring then they know...
Bio: Liliana also know and 'Zero', because she never speaks a word or udders a thought. Seems like the model person, not perfect not a slob exactly in the middle always, but what they don't know is she's a sneak an a stealer, though not aloud to harvest extra food for themselves, see sneaks off every night and does just that, leaving the food to random houses every dawn just before going home and pretending that she was asleep. No one knows the mystery thief, but no one complains and let it go without uttering a word, though rumor spread about who it might be no one would expect it to be her. She has a mother and father, but no siblings, she would not mind either way.
The truth about her is she uber smart even for a girl is district 11 and she knows more about plants then most adults.
When the day came to pick the tributes a young girl of barley 12 was picked she volunteered herself, a shocker for everyone and the first word she'd uttered in public since she was three.
