For anyone who is wondering what "Chrestomanci" is, it is an enchanter who has nine lives, they also are the only one of themselves in existance, rather than having doubles in other worlds.
As for "Dream" I'm not really sure what I mean there... Some kind of Dream Realm?

I only have the first volumne in the series, and I've had it for quite a while, but I never really could find the others. No, Christopher is the protagonist. In Charmed Life he was the Chrestomanci, and in The Lives of Christopher Chant, I guess you could say he was the Chrestomanci's apprentice, but that's not what the book is about.
Basically, there's a smuggling orginization called Wraith lead by Christopher's Uncle Ralph(Rafe), and he has to choose between the Chrestomanci and Uncle Ralph. But in the very beginning of the book, he goes to different worlds through his dreams, what is kind of what I mean by "Dream" realm. And in the final battle, Uncle Ralph spreadsthe Chrestomaci's lives over the Related Worlds, and Christopher has to find them, but they're kidnapped by the "Dright" of world eleven, and Christopher has to trade his life for the Chrestomanci, he seventh life, meaning he's only left with one left since the Chrestomanci stuck Christopher's ninth life in a ring.

Anyways, it doesn't reallly work that way, each life is actually a double of him from a different world, but for some reason all of his doubles went into one person. To get another life would be to create a copy of himself... Which I suppose might be possible, and might even happen in one of the books. Oui, I remember Chrestomanci from way back in Middle School. Sixth grade was it that I read that book? The one with the girl was one of them. The girl was a witch where it was illegal to be a witch, and in her world Guy Fawkes blew up parliment. anywhosit, that was a waay long time ago so I barely remember the details. I do remember vaguely reading a book in which he was the protagnoist as a child and that's where we learned about the Elevnth world and it's relation to Elves. But again a way long time ago, I can't really help there. Hmm.
