I flew farther than I thought. Slamming into the ground a couple meters away, hearing the heavy thud, of a blade hitting the ground as I did so. Dirt had gotten into my mouth. And I spat. Trying to get the taste out of my mouth as I stood up.

I watched the sword as it had bounced off its scales harmlessly. I grew shaky, and as I looked towards it gingerly, all I saw was an incoming fist, colliding into my gut. I let out a sickening sound of pain and gasp for air as I instinctively recoiled from the blow. The air completely knocked out of me, as I wheezed, gasping what air I have for the scream of pain I felt. It felt like a freight train just ran over my gut. I coughed up blood as I rolled to the side, throwing up shakily as my stomach burned. I could barely focus, my mind was scattered.

I knew that I was helpless in this battle as I watched the boy defend me and go up against the creature. He who must have more fighting experience then I was already on the ground close to the clutches of death. I was surprised the hard blow to his stomach didn't make him vomit.
