I was soon knocked down by something, letting out a small noise of pain as I did, then I heard the monsters voice. Its menacing voice that gave me shivers down my spine. I broke out in a fit of coughs as the dust from the ground came into my mouth. I was annoyed at myself. I hated how he insulted me. Calling me a poor fighter...that bastard.

"Not really." I mumbled looking at the girl. The monster turned, smacking the boy down to the ground and I let out a shrill squeal. Everything was happening too fast and I didn't have time to pull the girl back so she wouldn't confront the monster again so I ran up beside her. I didn't hesitate after she made the teeth brushing joke to attack. This time I aimed my blade to get under one of the monsters scales in hope it would his flesh.
