I let out a nervous laugh and looked at the bricker Aaron. "Grievers." I panted. "Those shucking things are only supposed to come out at night." I grumbled and walked to the metal shack that is the map room. Me and all the runners are to draw out the map while it was still in our head. It was odd how every night the walls of the maze shifted, changing the paths. But mapping it out always felt like the right thing to do ever since my first day in the glade.

I sketched out the map on my sheet of paper writing down the day and tucking it into a file. "listen up guys." I said looking at my fellow runners when they'd all finished. They all looked up to hear me speak, after all I was the keeper of the runners. "I encountered a griever today." I paused as the group gasped then continued. "we all know those shuck creatures are supposed to only come out at night but they've been coming out more frequently lately so just make sure to watch your back." I finished as they all nodded silently then headed out the door.

Strange things are happening... I suppose I should be worried, though I'm not. My emotions always seemed very monotonous, even from the beginning in the elevator... On the cold dew. But again on the note of avoiding what's real, being only what I wish. I would be lying if I said I felt no emotion, afar all I have a gut wrenching feeling when people die. Or get seriously injured, but before that point almost nothingness. I sometimes want to feel, but most of the time it's okay by me. Besides it's only been about a week, I'm sure it can get worse.
