My guide and I climbed the mountain, and as I thought when I looked to the Pillar behind us, there was the image of a fierce shark.
My guide told me there was a legend behind each of the Eight Pillars of Aleysia. I planned on telling my crew it before we set off from this Pillar, and I will recount it here for you.
"The Pillars are Ancient. They have been around since the Traveler created the World. The Traveler placed all the species of the World where they best fit," my Guide said, gesturing to each of the environments we could see from our lofty perch high above the rest of the world. "He put the plants first, the seaweed on the Ocean Floor, the the trees and grasses on the land. He then put the animals. The fish in the water, and everything else on the land. My people are what remains of the original Nine Tribes of Man. The Traveler placed the first Eight Tribes on the Pillars, and the Ninth he placed far beyond the Eighth Pillar. I do not know why he did this, and our Snake Elder does not know either. Of the Eight Tribes on the Pillars, we know that they split off and headed that way." The Guide gestured the way we sailed from, towards the Shark Pillar. "We remained behind, as it were to protect the Pillars against anything the Guardians could not handle. You must of seen the Snake? That is our god, C'atul the Venomus. The Shark is the Shark Pillar's Goddess, Z'aratl, She of Many Mouths, the Stingray is the Stingray Pillar's God, V'izak The Barbed One. They keep us safe from the dangers across the Seventh Sea, where the Traveler placed the Ninth Tribe." He would say no more on the subject of the Ninth Tribe, and seemed offended when I pushed him about it. He did say however that I will learn more about the Lost Tribe as I progressed closer and closer across the Sea. This, I had decided I would keep to myself until I knew about the Ninth Tribe.

| 40 gold...I could scrape by on food and save the 40, that could garuntee I can buy the next sword, because no one would sell their swords for over 60 gold. In fact, who would sell their swords for 60 gold?
