| Some of the crew are actually proposing caging the shark! Can you imagine? Where would we get the lumber, we're out in the middle of the bloody ocean! Ah well. Said shark still following us, all though it did vanish for a bit only to re-emerge as we approached the First Pillar. There wasn't much there, a small port town we landed in to resupply.

The port town was bustling with people and energy. I gave the crew their weeks pay and smiled letting off the few passangers we had.

| I spent a good bit of my money on exotic drinks and food, and just about the entire rest of it getting whetstones and some gears to improve my steam rifle's efficiency. Needless to say, I wont be the one doing the improving. I ain't exactly a engineer, and if I ain't, I don't do.

| Slayzo got sick, he ate way too much food and drink. I shoulda warned him, oh well. He's puking his guts out over the side of the railing. Iris seems just fine. I asked around the village about the shark. They said he was the first of the Eight Guardians of the Pillars. He wouldn't harm us if we didn't harm the Pillars. I climbed up the first Pillar to see what I could. I saw the next Pillar far in the distance, as well as the accompanying one to this. I also noted that there were some tresses and buttresses in that direction. Perhaps once the Pillars of the World were arches I proposed this to the people of the Pillar and they merely laughed and shrugged saying, it's possible.

| I was beginning to be worried. I was developing these theories...
What if the crew isn't actually dying due to being drunk, perhaps something is influencing the deaths...

| I myself am beginning to suspect that the shark and manta ray are eating our people who fall over board, whilst we sleep, I have not shared this information with the crew yet, because I am not sure. I shall be taking a vigil of my own tonight.
