I almost laugh. Mutations? "The only kind of mutation I heard of and remember is being deformed from radiation or a disease, or... err... my point is, I don't think there's any kind of explanation within our knowledge to know what's going on..." I say quietly, trying to comprehend this. In the middle of my thoughts, a ripple of energy surges through my body, which felt like a punch in the gut. I wince. "Owww...?" I moan. "What's going on? I can't stand this anymore, I need an explanation." I say.
